Onur Seemann Consulting, Inc. specializes in earthquake hazard assessment, catastrophe risk estimation and disaster risk management. The two principal consultants, Dr. Tuna Onur and Dr. Mark Seemann, work with associates to address client questions and provide clear, robust seismic assessments.

Tuna Onur, Ph.D.

Dr. Onur has over 20 years of experience in all aspects of earthquake risk estimation in the private and public sectors and currently serves on the National Building Code of Canada's Standing Committee on Earthquake Design. She teaches earthquake engineering at the University of Victoria and continues to be actively involved in seismic risk research.


Mark Seemann, Ph.D., ARM, CEM

Dr. Seemann is a certified risk and emergency manager, with over twenty years public safety experience in both Canadian and American emergency management organizations. Currently serving as a Director of the Canadian Risk and Hazards Network, he continues to teach and supervise research in emergency and disaster management at Royal Roads University and the University of Victoria.
